Richard M. Rubenstein, MD

Richard M. Rubenstein, M.D., is a Board Certified Dermatologist and leads a team of doctors which include Dr. Larissa Scanlon, Dr. Prethi Mohip, Dr. Angela Combs, and physician assistant Christina Curran and Kristian Williams, at three locations in Florida: Tamarac and two locations in Delray Beach. He and his team perform a blend of dermatologic and cosmetic/aesthetic services and accept same day or next day appointments for urgent medical matters.

 

Larissa Zaulyanov-Scanlan, M.D.

Larissa Zaulyanov Scanlan, M.D., is double Board-Certified in Medical Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery. She practices in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Margate, and Wellington, Florida. Her specialty is Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery and facial reconstruction. Her other professional interests include skin cancer detection and prevention, wound healing, laser surgery, and cosmetic dermatology, all areas in which she has authored and co-authored articles and book chapters.

Dr. Scanlan graduated Cum Laude in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida in Gainesville, with minors in Philosophy and Chemistry. She received her medical degree at the University of South Florida in Tampa, graduating among the top of her class and being recognized with the Award for Academic Excellence. It is there where she also completed her internship in Internal Medicine.

Her residency in Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery was completed at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital where she was the recipient of the Excellence in Dermatologic Surgery Award. While there she received the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery Preceptorship Award for Cosmetic and Surgical Dermatology under the guidance of Dr. Stephen Mandy in Miami, Florida, and she was awarded the Women’s Dermatologic Society Mentorship Grant in Laser Education and Research under the guidance of Dr. Tina Alster in Washington, D.C.

Her professional memberships include the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Mohs Surgery, Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Medical Association.

She also has a passion for teaching the next generation of dermatologists and dermatologic surgeons. As such, she contributes her skills as voluntary faculty at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital where she teaches dermatologic surgery, facial reconstruction, and cosmetic surgical techniques to current dermatology residents.

Dr. Scanlan enjoys all aspects of dermatologic surgery and cosmetic dermatology. Her goal is to provide the highest-quality patient-centered care available. Her personal interests include spending time with her family, painting, and travel. She is fluent in English, Russian, and medical Spanish.

Prethi Sundaram-Mohip, D.O.

Prethi Sundaram-Mohip, D.O., is a Board Certified Dermatologist practicing in Boynton Beach and Delray Beach, Florida. She performs a blend of dermatologic and cosmetic/aesthetic services. Dr. Sundaram-Mohip provides patients with the latest laser technology and expertise in the field of Dermatology and offers her patients specially formulated skin care products for use as part of a physician supervised skin care regimen.

Christina Curran – PA-C

Christina Curran is a licensed physician assistant who has been practicing dermatology since 2001, with offices in Tamarac and Delray Beach, Florida. She grew up in Virginia and is a graduate of James Madison University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Christina then earned her Masters of Clinical Medical Studies from Barry University’s Physician Assistant Program.

ANGELA COMBS, D.O.

Angela Combs, DO, FAOCD, is a board certified dermatologist who offers a full range of medical, surgical and dermatology services. Dr. Combs earned her B.A. and medical degrees at Nova Southeastern University and completed her internship at Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah. She went on to complete her residency in dermatology and cutaneous surgery at Broward General Medical Center, where she served as chief resident in dermatology and received the Dermatology Resident of the Year award. After completing her residency, Dr. Combs served as an assistant professor in dermatology at Nova, where she trained medical students, interns and residents. She also served as interim program director of dermatology at Broward General Medical Center. Dr. Combs is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology and the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Combs sees patients in our Tamarac office.

Kristian Williams, PA-C

Kristian is a Board Certified Physician Assistant who completed her undergraduate studies at East Carolina University prior to graduating summa cum Laude from Keiser university’s physician assistant program. Kristian first joined the practice in 2016 and is trained to treat a wide variety of dermatological conditions as well as perform skin cancer treatments and minor surgical procedures. Kristian is a member of the Florida Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and In her free time enjoys traveling and spending time with her miniature schnauzer, phantom.

Susan Santoro – Medical Assistant/Medical Esthetician

Susan Santoro has 30+ years of medical practice experience, including over 15 years of experience working with Dr. Rubenstein. Initially receiving her degree from Erie College in Buffalo, NY, then upon moving to Florida, Susan received her degree as a licensed Medical Esthetician from the Ross Skin Institute.

Mindy Gadeleta – Licensed Medical Esthetician/Nursing Supervisor

Mindy Gadaleta is a qualified esthetician and supervising medical assistant for Dr.’s Richard Rubenstein, Dr. Angela Combs, and Physician’s Assistant Christina Curran and Kristian Williams. She has been with the practice for over 18 years.
